Information about the York Rite of Freemasonry
The York Rite is three Bodies starting with the Degrees of the Royal Arch. The Royal Arch Masons support the "Royal Arch Children's Heart Foundation." Many children are helped each year by this Foundation.
The Council Degrees are the Royal & Select Masters and they support the "Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation"
The Knights Templar are the third body in the York Rite and is equal to the Thirty-second Degree of the Scottish Rite. The Knights Templar support several programs but the main one is the "Knights Templar Eye Foundation" helping people of all ages with eye surgery when needed.
The Knights Templar also have started a "Knights Templar Scholarship Foundation" and hope to award scholarships in the near future.
The Knights Templar send ministers on a trip to the Holy Land with their "Holy Land Pilgrimage" each year.
These activities are just a small part of what the York Rite Masons do. Many are active in the communities and neighborhoods in every town. To start the process to become a KNIGHTS TEMPLAR you must first be a MASTER MASON and then petition the York Rite in your area.
